Apple and Orange Jelly recipe

Ingredients:

1 ½ kg cooking apples.
4 oranges.
1 kg sugar (caster).
1 ¾ litre water.

Directions:

Place apples, oranges and wter in a large saucepan and immer for about 1 ½ hours or until orange peel is very soft.

Strain through the mixture through a jelly bag.

Measure 500gm sugar for each 600ml juice.

In a large saucepan, cook the juice over low heat and add the suagr, stir until it dissolves.

Increasethe heat and boil rapidly until the jelly mix reaches around 105C.

Remove from the heat and scoop off any scum.

Cool for 5 minutesbefore ladeling into hot jars and sealing.
